Sep 16 2018

The Third International Conference on Green Communications, Computing and Technologies (GREEN 2018) will take place between 16th and 20th September, in Venice (Italy). The Green 2018 is a conference focused on green computing and communication, also addressing issues related with energy efficiency and green systems.

Green 2018 will gather together not only researchers, but also industry professionals, which will discuss together concepts, the state of the art, research, standards, implementations, running experiments, applications, and industrial case studies related to green IT

ICTFOOTPRINT.eu will be at Green 2018 to present ICTFOOTPRINT.eu to an audience composed by industry and academia members. All those interested in adopting energy efficiency and working towards low levels of carbon footprint in ICT are welcome to attend the presentation.

By adopting an energy and environmental efficiency strategy, the ICT sector can save around 15% of global emissions in 2020, mainly through sectors like transport, industry and buildings. It is urgent that energy efficiency measures are applied to counterbalance the expected growth in ICT.

This is a unique opportunity for visitors to know about ICTFOOTPRINT.eu’s free services, which help ICT organisations and cities in getting competitive advantages and energy savings thanks to green ICT.

The Self-Assessment Tool for Organisations (SAT-O) is a useful, free, quick and easy-to-use tool to estimate the carbon and energy footprint of your organisation, including the footprint derived from your equipment’s whole life (from production to keeping it up and running to its dismission) and caused by business travel and commuting.
